About BrandCensus

BrandCensus is a directory and intelligence database of modern and independent brands. It is curated by Benatar Brands and launched in October 2026. It currently lists 50 brands, starting with direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands, and tracks how each one shows up in AI search and AI shopping assistants.

How brands are picked

Listings are hand-curated. We look for brands that sell directly to customers through their own online store, have a distinct product and point of view, and have a live, working website. We favor independent and founder-run brands. Each listing uses public information from the brand's own website: its name, category, a short description and a link to its official site.

Submit a brand or request a change

Any brand can be submitted for free using the submission form. Brands already listed can use the same form to request edits to their listing or removal from the directory.
